Born to an Amish family in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Ephram grew up in a sheltered and caring environment. But like most young Amish, he began to grow restless as his interest in mainstream America grew. When he reached the age of 16, he began his rumspringa to truly see the world outside of his tight-knit community. After spending a year away from his home, he made the difficult choice of leaving his community. Coming to terms with his own sexuality coupled with his burgeoning interest in science and technology drew him farther from his traditional upbringing.
In the following years, he received a Biomedical Engineering degree at Drexel University and developed an interest in the arcane. It wasn’t long until he began to develop limited magical abilities, but before he could develop any further on his own, he was contacted by a local coven of arcane practitioners. They persuaded him into joining their fold where they would provide guidance, resources, and a safe haven. In return, he would do odd jobs for the coven and aid them when needed.
Ephram is a generally quiet and soft-spoken individual preferring to let his actions do the speaking. Now at age 21, he has developed a particular fondness for cinnamon pretzels, reality TV shows, and Yuenglings. Despite leaving behind his Amish roots, he still holds on to some of their core values – the rejection of arrogance and the value of calmness.
